Product Details
Our atomized maca extract 20:1 concentrates 20 kg of fresh maca root into 1 kg of extract. The root is extracted with 70% ethyl alcohol and 30% purified water, and the extract is spray-dried (atomized) with maltodextrin as a carrier into a fine, homogeneous powder: at least 95% passes through 80 mesh.
It is used in single-serve sachets, ready-to-drink formulas, effervescent tablets and capsules. It is free of preservatives, artificial colors and flavors, and gluten is below 10 ppm.

What is the difference between the 10:1 and the 20:1 extract?
The ratio of fresh maca to extract: 10 kg per kilo in the 10:1 and 20 kg per kilo in the 20:1. Solvent, carrier and the rest of the specification are the same.
What does atomized mean?
The liquid extract is spray-dried: it is sprayed into fine droplets and dried with hot air into a powder. Ours is carried on maltodextrin, and at least 95% passes through 80 mesh.
Is it standardized to macamides?
Our specification does not set a macamide content. If your specification requires marker compounds such as macamides, tell us when you request a quote.
How is it packed and how long does it keep?
In 5 kg double-layer polyethylene bags, four per 20 kg carton. Shelf life is three years in the sealed container, stored at 20–25 °C and 45–65% relative humidity.
